AWARDS

Charter Mark is the Government's award scheme which recognises and encourages excellence in public service. It is unique among quality schemes in the way it concentrates on results - the service the customer actually receives.

We were first awarded Charter Mark in 1996 and this was renewed in 1999, 2002 and 2006. We are very proud of this achievement as the award recognises our continued commitment to improving service, providing value for money, and ensuring openness and accessibility.

SHAW is a national scheme, which encourages workplaces to promote the health of their employees and aims to improve the health and wellbeing of the workforce in Scotland.

The scheme encourages workplaces to promote the health of employees by introducing such things as smoking policies, healthy eating choices, providing health information, as well as paying particular attention to health and safety matters. SHAW is backed by a partnership between major bodies in Scotland's business sector; private and public sector; the NHS; trade unions and national and local enterprise organisations.
