The following amendments have been made to the artl PKI Registration Policy & Procedures document;
Page 8 - LRA Identity Verification Procedure (2)
Deletion: Reference to Date of Birth
Addition: If the LRA is not available at that time then the statement can be taken in person by a member of the artl Roll-out Team during a roll-out visit.
Page 11 - LRA Identity Verification Procedure (13)
Original text: The Rollout Team member shows the LRA how to download an LRA digital certificate onto the LRA Smartcard in accordance with the artl system requirements.
Amended text: The LRA, assisted if necessary by the Roll-out Team member downloads an LRA digital certificate onto the LRA Smartcard in accordance with the artl system requirements.
Page 13 - Creating Additional LRAs (last para)
Deletion: RoS will presume that a person’s appointment as an additional LRA will last permanently unless the organisation specially requests a temporary arrangement.
Page 28 - Security of Blank Smartcards within a Firm (3rd para)
Deletion: The reserve may be divided among the LRAs, or held by only one LRA, but this should be made known to the RoS member of staff who visits the firm to provide smartcards. If only one LRA keeps the reserve, the means of accessing the blank cards may be disclosed to the other LRAs, in case of need.
Page 37 - Transfer of Smartcards between PKI Users
Section deleted.
Page 38 - Transmission of smart cards from RoS
Deletion: if using accommodation, staff should store cards overnight in hotel safes where such facilities are available.
