a deed is registered in the Books of C&S, the original deed is
retained for safe keeping and one extract is returned in its place.
If this is the only extract required, VAT does not apply, but any
additional extracts are subject to VAT. Prepayment does not apply
to deeds being registered only in the Books of C&S. Invoices will
