How to use this Handbook

This Handbook has been designed to support you in your job at Registers of Scotland. It provides information in three different ways:

  1. Policy statements which set out the Agency's position on key issues relating to your employment and conditions of work.
  2. Guidelines to inform good practice.
  3. Rules and regulation which clearly set out legally binding rights and responsibilities within the Agency.

With effect from 30 May the Handbook will only be available electronically. Whist every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the contents of this Handbook, all policies, guidelines and rules and regulations may be subject to amendment from time to time and the Agency expressly reserves its right in this regard. The Handbook will be updated from time to time and any changes which affect the contents will be communicated to staff as appropriate.

It may not be possible to contain all the information you need here. Wherever possible you will be directed to another source of information from within the Handbook. To return to the Handbook, click on the Back button on the main toolbar.
