Automated Registration to Title in Land (artl) is an alternative to the current paper based system of Land Registration for Dealings with Whole, where registration is completed electronically via a secure internet connection. It provides a quicker, more efficient and cheaper registration system offering next day registration.

Under artl users do not have to interact with HMRC, RoS will collect the SDLT on their behalf. Deeds on artl are signed by the solicitor under mandate from the client using chip and pin technology.
