Pre-Registration — What We Do Not Do

The Pre-Registration Enquiry Service deals with specific topics. To help you direct your enquiry to the part of RoS that will help you, below is a list of the most common areas of enquiry not covered by pre-reg enquiries, with contact details.

We do not deal with:

  • Questions about forms or  fees (for forms email eservices and for fees see our Fee Calculator on this page)
  • Requests for voluntary registration  or amalgamation – this is dealt with by Eric Willis
  • Questions on pending applications these must be addressed to team leader concerned
  • Inaccuracies in the Title Sheet – an application should be made to rectify on a form 9
  • Questions on hypothetical issues
  • Requests to carry out a full examination of title (contact Registers of Scotland, Meadowbank House, 153 London Road, Edinburgh, EH8 7AU, DX: 555400, Edinburgh 15, LP: 54, Edinburgh 5)
  • Requests for clarification of,  or correction of errors,  in Title Sheets:
    • if clarification is required regarding the composition of a title sheet
    • if the Keeper has made an error in compilation of a title sheet

    • These requests should be addressed to the section dealing with the application or the section who issued the Title Sheet
  • We can no longer accept telephone enquiries for Pre-Registration enquires
