Plans Stakeholders Working Group
In the past, RoS has held ad hoc meetings with all our key stakeholders relating to mapping issues. It was recognised that much of the discussions included topics that are of interest to the wider community.
Earlier this year RoS invited stakeholders from RICS, The Law Society of Scotland and Ordnance Survey to formally establish a group where all parties had representation at discussions impacting the plans and mapping environment.
All parties were keen to establish such a group as obvious benefits can be realised through sharing information and taking a joined up approach to problem solving.
The first such meeting was held in August 2011 and much of the discussion surrounded the new LR Bill. Other key areas to be considered and discussed include
- Data Capture
- Provision of new Deed Plan Criteria
- OS mapping across base scales
- OS revision program and impact on stakeholders
- Keeper's interpretation of deed plans
- Electronic transaction
- Estate Plan Approval
