The Fees in the Registers of Scotland Amendment Order 2010 – 24/11/10

After the recent consultation exercise the Fees in the Registers of Scotland Amendment Order 2010 has been signed by the Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism and has been submitted to the Scottish Parliament.  The new fees will come into force on 10 January 2011.

The national increase in VAT to 20% is scheduled to take place on 4 January 2011. To minimise disruption to customers, RoS will continue to charge customers 17.5% on those services that attract VAT until the new fees take effect on 10 January 2011.  This will ensure that customers only need to manage the changes required for one set of new prices.
