30/04/2013 – Home sales increase in Scotland
The number of homes changing hands in Scotland has increased by 5% compared to the same period a year ago. From January to March 2013 some 14,567 residential properties were sold, according to the latest official statistics from the Registers of Scotland.

13/03/2013 - Registers of Scotland supports youth employment initiative

Registers of Scotland is backing the Scottish Government’s drive to help young people into employment by creating a Modern Apprenticeship (MA) scheme. Fourteen MAs are getting the opportunity of paid employment combined with on the job training and the chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

29/01/2013 – Prices drop but volumes rise in third quarter
The average price of a home in Scotland has dropped by 1.5% compared to the same period a year ago. In the third quarter (October to December) of the financial year 2012/2013 values for residential property averaged at £154,810. Meanwhile the number of properties changing hands over the same period rose by 2.7%, with 20,355 sales in the final three months of the year.
