The all-Scotland average house price for the third quarter (July to September) of 2008 showed an increase of 0.1 per cent over the same period in 2007.

The average price of a residential property in Scotland increased by 3.6% in the second quarter (April to June) of 2008 and is now £155,691, according to figures published today by Registers of Scotland.  The average house price for this quarter has increased by 4.6% since the same quarter in 2007.

30/06/2008 - SSSI Register
Registers of Scotland (RoS) will maintain a new online Register of Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) from today (30 June 2008). The Register will hold information on all SSSIs across Scotland.  A SSSI is an area of land that Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) considers to be special for its plants, animals, habitats, rocks or landforms, or a combination of such natural features.

In the first quarter of 2008 (January to March), the average house price for a residential property in Scotland was 7.4% higher than in the same period in 2007 (from £139,941 in Q1 2007 to £150,257 in Q1 2008).
