Fees

  • Sasine Register copy deed - £16.00
  • Land Register copy deed - £16.00
  • Books of Council and Session copy deed - £16.00
  • Register of Inhibitions copy deed - £16.00
  • Sasine or C&S extract - £30.00
  • Land Register certified copy - £30.00
  • Land Register office copy - £30.00
  • NAS Original Quick Copy - (this is where the original deed has to be ordered to obtain a copy) - £15 plus the copy deed fee of £16
  • NAS Original Extract - (this is where the original deed has to be ordered to obtain a copy) - £19 plus the extract fee of £30

Search Fee

If a search is required to confirm the recording date of a document, this will usually be between £11 and £18 plus VAT.

Plans

A black and white plan will automatically be given (at no extra charge) if submitted when the deed was recorded. There are no plans available before 1934.

The fee for us to obtain a colour plan from NAS is £15. The fee for a deed attached to the plan is £16 and the fee for an extract is £30.

Colour plans are available from deeds registered in the Books of Council and Session, Sasine deeds recorded for preservation or if a duplicate plan was submitted when the deed was recorded.   • Copy deeds - 2 Working Days
  • Extracts - 8 Working Days
  • Certified copies - 8 Working Days
  • Office Copies - 5 Working Days

Premium Service

  • This is only available on copy deeds and extracts obtained via the NAS.
  • Fee - an additional £30.00 per copy
  • Turnaround time - 24 hours for copy deeds and 2 working days for extracts

A copy of a document registered in the Sasine or Land Register that is obtained in person the same day will be subject to an additional £12 + VAT service charge in addition to the £16 + VAT for the copy. Please note that if a search is required in the first instance then the request will be subject to the appropriate search and service fees.

If you wish to wait 48 hours for a deed to be sent to you by post the £12 fee will not apply.

The Customer Service Centre is open to the public from 08.30hrs to 16.00hrs, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 10.00hrs to 16.00hrs on Wednesday. Textphone users can contact us on 0845 607 0168. The centre has a hearing loop and wheelchair access.
