Registers Direct Fees and Charges
There are no set-up costs involved with the REGISTERS DIRECT system you will only be charged for the searches that you carry out. Below is a list of the current charges for searching the registers.
- Search the Land Register £3.00
- Search the Sasine Register £3.00
- Search the Register of Inhibitions £3.00
- Search the Register of Judgments £3.00
- Search the Register of Deeds £3.00
- Property Prices Search Nil
All fees attract VAT.
We ask you to note the following important changes which came into force on
31 May 2009, in particular:
1. You will not be charged a fee if you obtain a nil return on searching:
- the Register of Sasines Presentment Book
- the Register of Sasines Minute Book
- the Register of Sasines Search Sheet
- the Land Register Application Record
- the Land Register Title Sheet or
- the Land Register Index Map
However, if you obtain any result other than a nil return, you will be charged a fee. The fee is non-refundable.
2. You will not be charged a fee for an initial search where, on the same occasion, you view a Title Sheet against an entry identified in the course of that initial search (i.e. Title Sheet by Name or Address or Index Map Seed-point).
3. You will be charged a fee for each search in the Books of Council and Session Register of Deeds, Register of Inhibitions or Register of Judgments, even if you obtain a nil return. The fee is non-refundable.
Please do not duplicate searches nor undertake practice or test searches as RoS policy is not to refund in such instances.
