A completed and signed application for registration of a dealing, Form 2, together with the deed effecting that dealing; in this case the standard security. The standard security should not include a warrant of registration but it should be entered in the inventory. A reduced registration fee will be charged in respect of an application for registration of a standard security where that application is received along with the borrower’s application for registration of his interest. Where there is additional evidence not available when the applications for registration are lodged, for  example  a  feuduty  redemption  receipt  or  a  certificate  of  registration  of  a  charge  from  the Register  of  Charges  such  evidence  should  be  accompanied  by  a  further  Inventory  Form  4  in duplicate and clearly marked with the title number. The total amount of registration fees payable. Separate solicitors acting for purchaser and lender 8.23 It is suggested that in this case the lender’s solicitor will wish to ensure that the application for registration of the purchaser’s (borrower’s) interest is duly lodged. Accordingly, he will take delivery of all  the  items  referred  to  in  paragraph  8.21  and  will  lodge  these  with  the  Keeper  along  with  an application for registration (Form 2) in respect of the standard security and an inventory (Form 4) listing the standard security only. In this case there are two additional points to note: 1.  The purchaser or his solicitor must sign the Form 1. The lender’s solicitor cannot do so. Similarly Form 2 must be signed by the lender or his solicitor. 2.   The  Keeper  will  return  the  duplicate  inventory  submitted  with  the  Form  1  application  to  the purchaser’s  solicitor  as  an  acknowledgement  of  receipt  of  the  deeds  and  other  documents submitted   in   support   of   the   application   for   registration.   The   duplicate   of   the   inventory accompanying  the  Form  2  application  (the  standard  security)  will  be  returned  to  the  lender’s solicitor.  Both  duplicate  inventories  will  be  marked  with  the  title  number  allocated  to  the prospectively registered interest. Where it is arranged that the purchaser’s solicitor will submit the application for registration of his client’s  interest  the  lender’s  solicitor  should  lodge  with  the  Form  2  and  the  standard  security  an inventory Form 4 in duplicate listing that standard security only. If the lender’s solicitor wishes evidence that the Form 1 application and supporting evidence have been received by the Keeper he may either: attach a copy of the purchaser’s inventory to the inventory Form 4 submitted with the lender’s Form 2  application  including  on  the  latter  Inventory  (1)  ‘the  deeds  and  documents  listed  on  and submitted with the copy inventory attached’ and (2) the standard security; or include,  as  is  suggested  at  the  end  of  paragraph  8.15,  an  undertaking  to  exhibit  the  keeper’s acknowledgement, i.e. the purchaser’s duplicate Form 4, within (    ) days in the letter of obligation. The reduced registration fee for the standard security only applies if the two applications are received together.
