( T he   Fe es   in   the   Re g i s t e rs   of  S c otl a nd  A me nd me nt   O rder   1 99 9 ) The Fees in the Registers of Scotland (Amendment) Order (“the Amendment Order”) came into force on 21st April 1999. Except for a minor amendment affecting local authorities, the  amendments  are  concerned  only  with  fees  for  obtaining  information  from  the registers: recording and registration fees remain unchanged and it is stressed that the Amendment Order has not replaced the existing Fees Order (“the 1995 Order”) in its entirety. All applications for recording in the Register of Sasines or registration in the Land Register must be submitted with the appropriate fee. All other services will be invoiced. VAT not applicable unless stated ( Payment of Fees) ( Provision of Information) ( Sasine Register) •    A search in the presentment book £2.00 (per item searched for) •    A search in the minute book £2.00 (per item searched for) •    For each search sheet viewed £2.00 •    Searching the persons or places index NIL ( Land Register) •    A search in the Application Record £4.00 (per item searched for) •    A search for a title sheet by name, £4.00 address or title number (for each title sheet searched for) •    Per view of a title sheet for one £4.00 interest in land (note: if you search for a title sheet by name, address or title number and then view that title sheet the fee charged is for viewing the title sheet only. If you search but do not view a title sheet, the search is charged for. If you search then return to view the Title Sheet, both search and the view of the title sheet are charged for.) •    Per index map search £2.00 ( Chancery and Judicial Registers) •    For a search in the Register of £2.00 Deeds or the Register of Judgements •    For each group of up to 6 names £3.50 searched against in the Register of Inhibitions (Note: a search includes a print disclosing relevant entries if requested within 7 working days of the original search) •    For a search against a specified £1.00 minute number in the ROI •    For a paper copy of the daily £96.00 minutes of the ROI (per day’s entries) All the above fees attract VAT ( Extracting and Copying Fees) •    for each page of an official extract,   £0.50 certified copy, plain copy or duplicate (Note: The Keeper has discretion to vary the above charge, if agreed in advance, for paper copies in excess of 50 copies.) •    for each page of an office copy £0.50 •    for a plan (A4 - black and white)      £2.00 for a plan (A4 - colour)                  £5.00 for a plan (larger than A4) full value of the work required and materials involved •    for each fiche of duplicate                 £2.00 copies of existing Sasine microfiche •    for authentication of each official     £4.00 extract, verified copy, duplicate or office copy •    for the handling of second or          £6.00 subsequent extracts and for copies (Note: A handling fee is not charged for orders placed at the time of presentment.) All the above fees attract VAT ( Other Fees) •    for each Certificate issued under the Civil Jurisdiction and Judgments Act 1982(a) £21.00 •    for each Certificate of Custody when a deed is retained for permanent preservation £10.00 The lists of fees are not exhaustive.
