Modern Apprenticeships in Customer Services or Business Administration
Edinburgh and Glasgow
Salary £17,459 per annum
In support of the Scottish Government’s ‘Youth Employment Strategy’, Registers of Scotland are launching our second Modern Apprenticeship Programme for 16-19 year olds. We have a number of opportunities for enthusiastic individuals with strong interpersonal skills to join a future-facing public sector organisation that recognises talent and encourages personal development.
Registers of Scotland (RoS) is the non-ministerial Government Department responsible for compiling and maintaining public registers relating to property and other legal documents in Scotland. We are a key part of the infrastructure that supports the Scottish economy, recording and safeguarding people’s rights.
Modern Apprenticeships offer new entrants to the labour market paid employment combined with relevant occupational training and the additional opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification in Business Administration or Customer Services (SVQ Level 3).
In return, we are looking for people who can demonstrate commitment to their personal learning and development. You will need to have a good standard of education with a minimum of five Standard Grades (grade 1-3), or equivalent, including Maths and English.
These apprenticeships will be offered on a temporary basis for a period of 18 months, with the possibility of permanency. Successful candidates must be able to comply with the terms of a Modern Apprenticeship.
The closing date for applications is Friday 4 October 2013 at 12 noon.
Registers of Scotland recognises and actively promotes the benefits of a diverse workforce and is commited to equality of opportunity.
