Updated guidance on tenements and tenement steadings has been published. This updated guidance has been produced to help applicants and their solicitors understand what is required when they submit an application to register an unregistered flat.
One key requirement is the need for a tenement steading cadastral unit to be shown on the cadastral map. The updated guidance explains that there are situations in which the keeper already holds an acceptable extent for the tenement steading which can be used to set up the tenement steading cadastral unit. For those situations in which the keeper does not already hold an acceptable extent for the tenement steading, the details of what must be submitted in the application are set out in the guidance.
