Payment option and address details update
With a brand new appointment only system in both customer service centres launching in the new year and the move to St Vincent Plaza in February, we are making some changes to the ways we receive payments and mail.
No cash payments
Due to the move to an appointment only system, as of 9 January unfortunately we will no longer be able to accept cash / over the counter payments. We will be accepting credit / debit card payments from personal customers for information provided at your appointment.
Business customers will have the option of paying with a credit / debit card at the time of the appointment or to have charges billed to an existing credit account.
Once we move to our new Glasgow office at St Vincent Plaza, all mail will be redirected to our Edinburgh office, Meadowbank House. The schedule for our mail switch is as follows:
- From 1 February 2017, all Royal Mail should be addressed to Registers of Scotland, Meadowbank House, 153 London Road, Edinburgh, EH8 7AU (a divert of Hanover House addressed mail will be in place for 6 months)
- From 20 February 2017, all DX mail for Registers of Scotland should be addressed to DX 555400 Edin 15 (existing DX and LP boxes will be redirected to DX 555400 Edin 15 for a period of 6 months)
- DX have confirmed that 'LP only customers' should address Registers of Scotland mail to DX 555400 Edin 15 - this follows the acquisition by DX of Legal Post (LP) in 2016. DX have informed us that LP addresses will be phased out over the next 12 months
- DX have confirmed that mail sent to 'LP only customers' by Registers of Scotland will be delivered.
