Internet Explorer and RoS online services

At the beginning of the year Microsoft announced that they were ending their support for Internet Explorer 8, and that after 12 January 2016 only the most recent version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system will receive technical support and security updates.

As a result of this upgrade and as previously highlighted by RoS, from 31 March 2016 Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) and 8 (IE8) were no longer compatible with RoS online services.

Customers using IE7 or 8, who wish to continue accessing our online services, are advised to upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer as soon as possible. Alternatively, browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari may be used to access our online services.

Failure to upgrade, will result in customers being unable to access the following services:

  • Registers Direct
  • eForms
  • Advance Notices
  • Reports
  • artl (Internet Explorer version 9 or above)
  • RCIL
  • SHP
  • SSSI
