Statement from Sheenagh Adams

Published: 19 September 2016

It was reported in yesterday’s Sunday Post newspaper that Registers of Scotland is “set to move out” of its offices at Meadowbank House. Let me say categorically that this is not the case.

The reporter formulated his story from our Annual Report 2015-16. As is the case for every annual report, the issue of our buildings and estates were discussed, as well they should be, but at no point was a decision taken to leave Meadowbank House.

Thanks to the hard work of all our staff in the day-to-day operation of our business along with the ambitious business transformation project currently underway, we are well placed for the future – and a future at Meadowbank House.

Sheenagh Adams, Keeper of the Registers of Scotland
