A current priority for RoS is the development of new and improved registration processes. This was a focus of a recent speech by Jennifer Henderson, the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland, to the Law Society of Scotland’s annual conveyancing conference. In her presentation, Jennifer discussed in detail our current backlog of registration cases, and the steps that we’re taking to clear it.
We’re dedicated to working alongside our customers during this time to ensure that while our improvement work continues, we are also meeting the needs of any cases that merit special attention.
We recognise that in certain exceptional circumstances our customers need their cases to be expedited for registration. In order to provide additional support in these circumstances, we’ve introduced a formal process that provides the opportunity to request that their application is expedited.
The expedite form can be accessed on our website. You’ll need to explain how your application meets the criteria and provide supporting evidence.
