Register of Inhibitions: Removal of personal presentment service

Published: 16 May 2019

RoS removes personal presentment service for Register of Inhibitions.

In line with our other business activities, Registers of Scotland will be removing the personal presentment service currently offered for entries into the Register of Inhibitions. This change will improve the efficiency of registering deeds in the Register of Inhibitions and will have no legal consequences for the deeds themselves.

Hand delivered applications received at our Meadowbank House office in Edinburgh before 9am will be treated as if they had arrived by post that morning, and we’ll aim to complete them alongside all other post received that day. Cases hand delivered after 9am will be treated as post received the following day and processed accordingly.

The last day for personal presentments will be Friday 31 May 2019.
