EQIA Summary
Scope
The RoS Commercial Fee Review: Land and Property Data (LPD) products. This phase of the proposal introduced fee increases for Land and Property Data team products:
- Sales for consideration
- Land values (sales data)
- Data Matching
- Bespoke reports
Impact
The key impact is on affordability for customers, and whether the proposed fee increases create any substantial barriers to accessing RoS information via the above services.
Level of impact
RoS research show that these products are almost exclusively accessed by professional users. Given that fees will therefore by paid by companies, the risk of impact on individuals is significantly diminished.
Mitigations
- No modifications to the proposal are proposed.
- The price increase is vital to ensure product sustainability and that RoS achieves an overall break-even position.
- In the unlikely event that these services are used by an individual, it is recommended that RoS signposts to financial support (e.g.Citizens Advice, Money Helper, StepChange) where appropriate.
