How RoS serves Scotland


RoS is known for land and property registration, but to provide this vital public service many different departments, each with its own specialisms, work together.

Senior Management

They set the organisation's direction, including which key areas to support, and how to best serve the people of Scotland.

People and Operational services

This directorate supports our core function, registration. It is also home for our People and Change function which supports the organisation and its people. This includes Human Resources, Organisational Development, Talent and Enablement services.

Digital, Data and Technology

This department is responsible for:

  • designing digital products and services that better serve our customers
  • compiling  and creating data reports that inform crucial decisions in Scotland’s property market
  • building leading-edge technology services

Customer and Business Development

This department is responsible for:

  • supporting our customers
  • engaging with all our customer groups, from the general public, solicitors, and media, to the Scottish Parliament
  • developing business services

Policy and Corporate services

This department is responsible for:

  • ensuring our policies align with legislation
  • managing our risk
  • looking after our building and finances
  • ensuring our sustainability

Corporate support

This department includes our business administration and our Secretariat function.
