FOI Release: Late Payments

We request under FOISA that you provide, (in a machine-readable format, preferably Microsoft Excel or CSV) the following information in respect of suppliers which were not paid in within 30 days for the period starting 1 April 2019 to the date of this request:

5.Gross Invoice Value

6.Payment Date

7.Payment Terms

8.Late Payment Compensation or Interest Paid (if any)

‘CW-2025-750 Information’ includes a list of suppliers which were not paid within 30 days for the period starting 01 April 2019 to 30 November 2025.

Please note that the information contained in ‘CW-2025-750 Information’ does not distinguish between invoices that were disputed or not disputed with the supplier at the time. The data therefore includes invoices where payment was withheld for valid reasons, such as waiting on the supplier to provide additional information to allow payment to be made.

During this period, payments for invoices made over 30-days from date of receipt accounted for less than 1% of all invoices paid with only 1 invoice incurring a late payment fee. Registers of Scotland have a standard policy to pay undisputed invoices within 10 working days. We have outlined some statistics below.
