This month RoS were delighted to host the Geovation Scotland Autumn Showcase. This was an exciting opportunity to hear from some of Scotland’s most innovative start-ups working in the location and property technology sectors.
Five early-stage start-up founders – who have all received support from the Geovation Scotland accelerator programme over the past year – were given the opportunity to share their propositions and ambitions for their companies with an audience of potential investors, partners and collaborators.
Over the course of the evening, the audience heard pitches from the following businesses:
- Doug McNeill, founder of EOLAS insights ltd,
- Kate Barnard, founder of Enjoy the Air,
- Katherine Gunderson, founder of Grand Bequest,
- Chris Hardman, founder of PropEco; and
- Olivia Dovernor, founder of Student Bubble
We were also delighted to be joined by a panel of industry experts, Christine Esson, Tania Watson and Rich Wilson, chaired by RoS Business Development Director, Kenny Crawford.
The panel critiqued each of the founders presentations and shared insights from their vast collective experience from across investment, global start-up support and scaling a business.
Tania Watson, Leadership Specialist | Champion of People and Their Potential and Angel Investor said of the event:
Great pitches, superbly arranged event and a pleasure to be a part of.
And Christine Esson, Cofounder and CEO Scottish Business Network said:
Delighted to be part of this first class event.
Thank you to all the founders who pitched at the Showcase, and to all those that took time to attend, support and contribute to the future success of these Geovation Scotland startup companies.
