What is the Digital Discharge Service
The Digital Discharge Service removes the need to draft and sign a paper discharge deed. Digital discharges of standard securities registered in the Land Register can be created using Register Land and Property (RLP).
Solicitors complete application details and send the discharge request to the lender. The system then generates a digital deed which the lender signs and submits to Registers of Scotland. The service provides greater security, greater efficiency and speed, and an intuitive process.
