EQIA Summary
Scope
The Employee Value Proposition (EVP) is a strategic initiative to articulate and promote the unique benefits of working at RoS.
It includes internal and external messaging, branding, and communications that reflect our organisational culture, values, and commitments to inclusion and wellbeing.
Impact and Mitigations
Overall, the EVP is assessed as having a broadly positive impact across all protected characteristics. Inclusive language, diverse representation, and a strong focus on flexibility and workâlife balance were built into its development.
A potentially negative impact has been identified against the disability protected characteristic but is suitably mitigated by action taken during the development of the EVP such as accessibility reviews and inclusive design.
The EVP is also expected to have a broadly positive effect in relation to the Fairer Scotland Duty and the Islands Communities (Scotland) Act 2018.
The EVP relates to RoS employees only and as such has no impact on the Consumer Scotland Duty.

To ensure the EVP is inclusive and representative it has been developed using diverse imagery, inclusive language, and containing specific content about diversity and inclusion in RoS. We also dedicated a specific page to diversity and inclusion, tested all with colleagues covering all protected characteristics. This included a video of diverse colleagues talking about inclusion in RoS. The D&I Lead was involved throughout the project, reviewing the content and advising on inclusive language, representation and accessibility. | ||
