Customer Satisfaction | Autumn Survey results

RoS is committed to providing top quality customer service. We are pleased to report that legal professionals have given us a customer satisfaction index score of 80.3 in our latest survey. This is an increase of 0.6 and exceeds the public sector average of 74.3.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey. Your feedback is essential to help us improve. We have listened to your comments, and we know that we still have work to do. That is why we are focusing our efforts and resources on the number one priority - to reduce the age and volume of open cases.

More information on progress and the actions we are taking to improve the customer experience, for both professionals and members of the public, will be available in the new year.

Plans reports

Plans reports customers can now benefit from increased support and guidance before they submit a request. Our new checklist will help guide you through the process to make sure you have everything you need.

Refreshed terms and conditions for plans reports are now also available on our website. This includes clearer, more concise criteria for customers and removes references to any products or services no longer in use.

Register of Persons Holding a Controlled Interest in Land (RCI)

The deadline for submissions of those in scope of RCI is 1 April 2024. Thereafter offence provisions will be in effect for non-compliance, with those committing an offence being at risk of a fine of up to £5,000.

We continue to work with customers to improve their experience of making a submission to RCI.

  • Familiarise yourself with our RCI guidance articles, these are easily accessible and designed to help our customers navigate the legislation and the registration process.
  • Access our What’s New pages to keep up to date with new features released such as the copy functionality.
  • Sign up for our monthly RCI webinars, where we will present live demonstrations of the service showing how to create and how to manage an entry. See our webinar page to find out more.

Scottish Ministers encourage everyone who is within scope of the RCI legislation to engage with the process as early as possible.
