Country of Origin report

Our latest ‘Country of Origin Report’ is now available. It presents statistics on land and property owners and tenants in Scotland, broken down by the location of the owner address at the time of purchase.

Registers of Moveable Transactions

The Moveable Transactions (Scotland) Act 2023 has modernised the law in Scotland in relation to transferring claims and taking security over moveable property through the creation of two new RoS registers.

The Register of Assignations and the Register of Statutory Pledges will be available from 8am on Tuesday 1st April 2025.

More information can be found by visiting our RMT web page.

Customer Feedback on Transfer of Part applications

Do you work on Transfers of Part (TP) applications that relate to a Development Plan Approval (DPA)? We want to hear from you.

Fill out our short survey to share your experiences. This will help us better understand your needs and improve our service.

ScotLIS invoicing

In January we emailed our ScotLIS customer’s finance contacts to make them aware of an upcoming change in format for ScotLIS invoices and how we provide this information via email.

From 1st April 2025, we will be aligning ScotLIS invoicing with other RoS Services such as CAJR and Plans Reports. Instead of attached documents, the ScotLIS invoice emails sent mid-month and end of month will now contain secure links to the invoice documents which can be viewed and downloaded as needed.

The first new format emails your finance teams will receive will be sent out on 15th April. If you have any questions or feedback about this change you can contact us at invoice.feedback@ros.gov.uk

Geovation Scotland accelerator programme

Applications for Geovation Scotland's annual accelerator programme are now open.

If you are an early-stage technology startup innovating in property, land, or location in Scotland, this is the programme for you.

Performance reporting

You can keep up to date with how we are performing by visiting our performance pages. These are updated every month.
