Director for Customer and Business Development
David Blair is responsible for the Customer and Business Development directorate leading on the strategies for customer services, communications and stakeholder engagement, along with business development for Registers of Scotland.
David has over 20 years’ experience within the civil service. During his career he has worked in several government departments, including roles within HM Treasury and across Scottish Government. He has also spent time outside the Civil Service working in operational and senior roles in the third sector and most recently as Executive Director for Enterprise and Governance at Scottish Canals where he was responsible for a number of customer facing services and new business ventures.
Prior to joining Registers of Scotland, David led the Scottish Government’s post-Grenfell Cladding Remediation Programme.
