Andrew joined RoS as a Non-Executive Director in July 2019 and is currently serving his second term.

Andrew is currently Non-Executive Chair of the Ferguson Marine Group having taken up his appointment in December 2022.  Andrew also holds the position of Vice Chair of Court for the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and has been a Court member since February 2019.

For 7 years, until the end of 2021, Andrew was Chair of the Glasgow Prestwick Airport Group having spent his time changing the commercial fortunes of the enterprise and leaving it in a profitable position with a long-term strategic future.

Andrew has previously held senior positions in the retail sector, including periods as Managing Director of a Dixons Stores Group subsidiary and Regional President for the Pacific Region (Oceania) for the world’s largest Duty-Free retail operator (DFS).

In the late 1990’s Andrew returned to Aviation to work with Air New Zealand when he firstly ran their Domestic Airline Group. Andrew rose to be the Chief Operating Officer of their Global Aviation Business as his last position in aviation.

Since 2003 Andrew has been Chairman of CAPA Consulting working as an advisor in the broader field of Aviation with clients ranging from Airlines, Governments, Tourism bodies, Pension funds and Investment Banks. CAPA has done extensive work in Low-Cost Airline Sector where Andrew did three low-cost Airline start-ups in Asia and South Africa.  In the Airport sectors Andrew has undertaken privatisation work, business development plans and government policy reviews in Asia Pacific and African subcontinent.

Andrew returned to Scotland in 2014 where he held the position of Chair of Glasgow Prestwick Airport for 7 years.
