Today we have published our 2019 to 2020 annual report and accounts.
The annual report and accounts give an outline of our key business activities and performance over the past financial year.
During a year in which we received over 700,000 applications for registration, the report highlights many successes for Registers of Scotland (RoS) in 2019-20.
These include:
- increasing our customer satisfaction score from 77% to 83%
- making improvements to ScotLIS so it’s even easier for people to find information on land and property
- launching Geovation Scotland to help kick-start Scottish start-ups

But, of course, there have been challenges too and none more so than the coronavirus pandemic which hit towards the end of the financial year.
Accountable Officer Janet Egdell said:
“While we don’t yet know the full impact of the pandemic on RoS, I am incredibly proud of our initial response and managing to build digital solutions so our customers could continue to use our services during the crisis.
“For me, this was a final example, of so many others in 2019-20, of how we can progress with the dedication of RoS colleagues and continued support from our customers and stakeholders.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past year and despite the unprecedented challenges we’re all now facing, I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in the year ahead.”
