Foreword from the Keeper

Innovating in the digital space is a fundamental part of what we do at Registers of Scotland (RoS).

There is a very good reason for this: digital solutions are what our customers want because they deliver the high quality service they have come to expect from RoS with the flexibility to adapt to the changing needs in Scotland’s land and property sector.

The challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic have required everyone to adapt to new ways of working.

Enhancing our existing suite of products and successfully launching a secure digital submissions service meant we have been able to support Scotland’s property market during lockdown.

We believe it is vital for us to collaborate with customers and stakeholders as we find new ways to make digital work for us all.

The feedback from legal professionals using RoS’ digital submission services has been overwhelmingly positive, and that has been reflected in the responses received to this public consultation.
