Annual Report and Accounts
Last month we hosted our live launch event for our Annual Report and Accounts (ARA).
Joined by accountable officer Janet Egdell, and chair of the Audit and Risk Committee Andrew Harvey we reflected on RoS’ performance over the last 12 months, as detailed in the annual report.
Watch a recording of this event to find out more.
Register of Deeds – digital submission
In November, you will be able to submit mixed format deeds (a combination of wet signed and deeds signed with QES) to the Register of Deeds.
If you have a single application that comprises a collection of both wet-ink signed documents and QES signed documents (such as missives or counterpart documents), you must submit the QES signed document first and you will be able to print a confirmation page to submit by post with the wet signed document. Keep an eye on our social channels for updates.
We are also excited to announce the first digital deed signed with QES has been registered by Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP. Read more on this, including quotes from the firm and our Business Development Director, Kenny Crawford in our recent news article.
Our customer satisfaction survey
Our customer satisfaction survey closed on 28 October.
Thank you to all our customers who took part in this. Customer satisfaction is a priority at RoS and your feedback is crucial for us to better your experience. Watch this space as we feedback on how we will action the results of this survey.
Register Land and Property update
Register Land and Property (RLP) now supports paper and digital discharges of standard securities. Digital Discharge Service (DDS) is still available for managing discharges in progress which were started before 7th October, with all new requests now routed to RLP.
RLP will soon support cases where the subjects are undergoing registration, i.e. where a draft title has been created and has a title number, but the title has not yet been fully registered.
Read more about RLP updates.
Mapping at RoS podcast
In the latest edition of the Registers of Scotland podcast we are joined by Senior Product Manager at RoS, Alastair Reid to talk about all things mapping.
Listen as we discuss the recent changes we have made to our mapping infrastructure, winning the Geography in Government award and more.

Geovation Scotland
This month RoS hosted the 2022 Geovation Scotland Showcase. This was an opportunity to hear from some of the most innovative start-ups working in geotech and proptech that Scotland has to offer.
