This register contains details of authenticated deeds granted by the Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.
The heir apparent to the throne holds the title of Prince and Great Steward of Scotland: currently Prince William who bears the other Scottish titles of Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick, Lord of the Isles and Baron of Renfrew. He holds Crown lands in certain parts of Scotland in lieu of the monarch. The prince’s seal was used to authenticate deeds granted by the Prince and Steward of Scotland.
There has been no entry in the Register of the Prince's Seal since 1887.
