Description

The climate is in crisis, and we must act now to limit global warming before it’s too late. In response to this, the Scottish Government declared a climate emergency in 2019 and set out a net zero emissions target to be reached by 2045.

As a public sector body RoS has a duty to contribute and align ourselves with this target, and to embed sustainability throughout everything we do.

We are committed to reaching net zero emissions by 2045 . Our new Sustainability & Climate Change Strategy (SCCS) 2021-26 sets out an initial 5-year approach, and our Year 2 Progress Report provides an update on achievements and next steps. This report will soon be followed by an SCCS Update 2024, which we will publish later in Q1.
