“It’s the fantastic development opportunities that keep me at RoS”
My job brings people and ideas together. I love the connections I get to make with people across the whole organisation. I get to enable and lead community engagement so that the organisation can build capacity, share knowledge and skills across and outside of the technical space. It’s such an important time to upskill and cross skill our teams so that we can support RoS’ digital ambitions for Scotland.
One of the best things about my role is supporting opportunities that open new ways of working and thinking.
On a personal level I really appreciate the fact that I get to contribute to a public service that benefits the people of Scotland. I have also been lucky enough to benefit from several great development opportunities to help me progress my career. I know in some places parental leave can get in the way of progression, but that hasn’t been the case at RoS. I felt included throughout my leave and well supported when I came back to work.
