Tackling our stock of case work

The way in which RoS handles its case work is changing. We have a new strategy to tackle our stock of case work.

You can read about the background in more detail in one of my latest blogs.

Register land and property

As part our case handling improvement work we’ve introduced a new way to register land and property.

You can now request access on behalf of your firm.

You can also view the latest demo video on YouTube.

Event invite “Registers of Scotland: Working for you”

What three words would you use to sum up the 2020 – 2021 reporting year?

For RoS it’s ‘resilience’, ‘fortitude’ and ‘creativity’.

Join me, Janet Egdell (Accountable Officer) and Andrew Harvey (Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee) as we discuss the challenges and opportunities of the last year and what we have delivered for our customers and citizens.

Take the opportunity to share your views and put your questions to the panel. This is your time to feed into the conversation and help shape the content of future annual reports.

Friday 30th September 12.00 – 13.00 Microsoft Teams event.

Future of Conveyancing Conference next steps

Following the success of the recent Future of Conveyancing Conference we are turning our minds to next steps. We want to build on the momentum and positivity surrounding the event to drive forward progress.

It is clear from attendee feedback that there are some key priorities such as digital signatures and the need for increased collaboration, standardisation and leadership.

Watch this space in the coming weeks for a series of blogs and a call to action for RoS and the wider industry.

People and Workspace project update

The pandemic has seen a shift in how we all work. We are developing a hybrid working model that aims to deliver more choice and flexibility on how, when and where to work, enhanced wellbeing and greater collaboration.

The key thing for me is to develop new ways of working and re-evaluate our workspaces in close consultation with colleagues and customers. In doing so we will ensure RoS has a hybrid working model that is right for us and supports our colleagues to be as productive as possible.

Moving registration to the Cloud

Since 2019 we have been working on a transformative strategy to move our registration services to the cloud. In this blog – which is the third in a short series about our cloud journey.
