Register of Overseas Entities – land registration
The Economic Crime (Transparency & Enforcement) Act 2022 requires overseas entities that own or acquire property in the UK to register with Companies House.
The land registration elements of the Act will come into force on 5 September 2022.
Find out more in our recent blog.
Register of Deeds – digital submission
From 1 October you can digitally submit deeds for the Register of Deeds
There will be an online form for the new service through which you will be able to upload electronic documents signed with a Qualified Electronic Signature only.
Visit our knowledge base for more information and guidance.
How we measure customer satisfaction
We will shortly be sending out our Autumn survey. We would appreciate you filling it in to help us continue to increase our customer satisfaction.
Find out more about why the survey is important and what we’ve done to respond to your feedback in our blog.
Registers of Scotland: Working for you
On Wednesday 28 September 2022, RoS will host its launch event for our Annual Report & Accounts.
I will be joined by accountable officer Janet Egdell, and chair of the Finance Committee Andrew Harvey, to reflect on RoS' performance over the last 12 months as detailed in the annual report.
Visit our website, to register your place and take up this excellent opportunity to put questions to our panel.
RCI – new support tool
The Register of Persons Holding a Controlled Interest in Land (RCI) will increase public transparency over decision making concerning land. It will ensure there can no longer be categories of owner or tenant where, intentionally, or otherwise, control of decision making is obscured.
There is a 1-year grace period to 1 April 2023 before offence provisions for non-compliance in RCI come into force.
Find out more about whether you need to register and how to go about it on our website. We have now published an online support tool to assist users to self-determine if they need to submit to RCI.
You can also join us at our upcoming webinars.
Customer experience language network now available
One of our latest steps in exploring EDI improvements is introducing our customer experience language support network. The network is made up of colleagues from across the organisation who will work to offer a translation service for customers who would like to speak to us in languages other than English.
