RoS’ main priority is to clear our open casework. To help us process cases more quickly, we have been running a pilot to explore a different way to present a subset of our Transfer of Part (TP) title sheets.
Based on the evidence gathered through the pilot, and positive customer feedback, we will now start to roll out Embedded Title Sheets (ETS) more widely.
What to expect
This means you may start to see more examples of ETS titles, either as title sheet extracts provided on completion of an application, or on ScotLIS.
The ETS format will be used where appropriate for newly received casework and open casework.
What this will look like
An ETS TP presents textual and cadastral information differently. In an ETS title, the Burdens Section is divided into numbered Parts.
A more detailed breakdown of the format of an ETS title sheet is available on the our Knowledge Base.
ETS title sheets can be accessed in the same way as any other title sheet, and there is no change to the associated fee.
The ETS format is not applicable to all TPs.
At present, it excludes the following:
- Development Plan Approval developments,
- leases; and
- any applications where customers have set out the burdens they expect to see.
However, further work will be undertaken to examine the suitability of Development Plan Approval in due course.
When you receive an ETS title sheet extract or view an ETS title on ScotLIS, the title sheet will include all the parent title Burdens Section and cadastral detail.
Next steps
The ETS rollout will take place over the coming months so please keep an eye on our channels, including the Keeper’s monthly newsletter to be kept informed of future updates.
