Register Land and Property update

Published: 31 August 2021

Since the launch of RLP in June over 150 firms have registered, and we’re now receiving over 400 cases per week.

Feedback has been extremely positive, and we’ve added several new features, all designed in collaboration with our customers.

What’s new?

Additional actions for advance notices

  • Download a draft PDF of your advance notice details
  • View details of a registered advance notice, including the AN number and protected period
  • Discharge an advance notice directly from your case
  • Submit another advance notice (if it’s about to expire, or needs amended)

Add another application to your submission

Some customers told us they need to include deeds which are not part of their case when they submit their applications for registration, particularly for commercial type transactions. Now when you are submitting the deeds from your own case you can also upload forms and deeds which were not created in your case, whether from another solicitor, or for deed types not yet supported by RLP.

Copy party details from one deed to another

In addition to not having to enter party details twice when you have an advance notice and application for the same deed, you can now also re-use party details across multiple deeds in a case. For example, if you have entered the applicant name and address for a disposition, when you add the granter for the standard security you can simply select them from a list. And if there are multiple common parties you can copy them all over in one go.

If you’re signed up to RLP you can keep up to date with recent developments using the What’s new link which you’ll find at the top of your dashboard.

What’s next for RLP – DPA TPs

Our next major enhancement will be to enable registration of plots which form part of a DPA (development plan approval) development. We’re finalising requirements for this now, and are conducting user research sessions to validate our approach.

If you regularly act for purchasers of DPA plots and you think you can help us design the process, please get in touch.

Not signed up yet?

Over the coming weeks we plan to make RLP automatically available to all firms with existing online services accounts. If you’d like access right now though you can now request access on behalf of your firm.
