RCI enters final test stage
We remain on track with the design and build for our 21st register (Register of persons holding a controlled interest in land – RCI) which will be live on 01 April 2022.
During February we successfully completed 3 weeks of private beta testing, thank you to those who participated, your feedback has been invaluable.
Full guidance on RCI will be published on our website when the register is live.
There will be a 12-month transitional period until 01 April 2023 for those in scope to submit to RCI.
Find out more about RCI and book onto our March webinars on 9 and 24 March.
Progress on digital regulations
Parliament has now approved the Registers of Scotland (Digital Registration, etc.) Regulations 2022.
These regulations are designed to work in tandem with the newly introduced Coronavirus (Recovery and Reform) (Scotland) Bill. The relevant provisions will commence at the same time depending on the Bill’s passage.

Register Land & Property (RLP)
RLP is available on the Online Services home page to all firms who submit land register applications. RLP is a more efficient way to draft, submit and track advance notices and applications.
We have 436 firms already using it and over 30,000 cases have been created. Based on customer feedback we are continuing to develop and roll out service improvements, including, most recently, the addition of a calendar date-picker for entering date of entry and ROI dates.
Next we’re looking at ways to make it even easier to enter party information, including company details, aliases, and executor & trustee details.
For more information, including a demonstration, you can access the recordings of our recent webinars or join us at our next webinar on 2 March.
