Register Land and Property (RLP)

Customers can now draft, declare and finalise a form in an RLP case and obtain an alpha code prior to digital submission. This enables sharing of the form for submission by another party.

Support with registration applications

Get the most out of your application. We have created a checklist to help you make sure you have everything you need before you submit.

Register of Persons Holding a Controlled Interest in Land (RCI)

The deadline for submissions of those in scope of RCI is 1 April 2024. Thereafter offence provisions will be in effect for non-compliance, with those committing an offence being at risk of a fine of up to £5,000.

We continue to work with customers to improve their experience of making a submission to RCI.

  • Our RCI guidance articles are easily accessible and designed to help our customers navigate the legislation and the registration process.
  • Access our What’s New pages to keep up to date with new features released such as the copy functionality. This allows users to create a new submission by copying details from a draft or a submitted entry, minimising the need to retype information.
  • We continue to deliver monthly webinars on RCI, please see our webinar page to find out more and to view previous topics.

Scottish Ministers encourage everyone who is within scope of the RCI legislation to engage with the process as early as possible. For more information visit the Scottish Government website.

Geovation Mentorship Programme

The Geovation Mentorship Programme 2024 is now open and looking for mentors and mentees.

This 6-month programme offers one-to-one mentoring experience, tailored to you. Empowering growth and guiding success, personally and professionally.

Applications close 16 November. Find out more.

Social Impact Pledges

We have made a public commitment to increase our social impact.

The Social Impact Pledge is a Scottish Government initiative hosted on the Communities Channel Scotland website. It asks public sector organisations across Scotland to commit to increasing their social impact by making a public commitment to change their current operations or policies.
