Shape our next Corporate Plan – your voice matters

We want your views on our next Corporate Plan (2027-2032). The current plan has focused on clearing older casework and embedding sustainable ways to process new work quickly, accurately and efficiently. By the end of March 2027, our aim is to have met our current strategic objectives. The next plan is our chance to set an ambitious new strategic direction and be clear on the activities that will get us there.

Hear directly from the Keeper as she reflects on seven years at RoS and looks forward to shaping the next Corporate Plan.

Get involved by contacting our dedicated mailbox corporate.plan@ros.gov.uk. Please send us your thoughts by 18th December.

Land and Property Data Reports fee change

From 16 December 2025, our Land and Property Data Reports fees will increase.

The price of our Data Reports has not changed in 15 years.  We have recently reviewed these fees, and we will be implementing a new fee structure that better reflects the value of the product. This will allow us to continue to provide a sustainable, high quality service for our customers now and in the future

Find out more about the update.

Register Land & Property (RLP) now supports FR and VR applications (except deeds to leases)

RLP can now support 97% of all Land Register submissions.

You can now create and submit:

  • applications and advance notices for First registrations and Voluntary registrations, and accompanying deeds

Further support and guidance on how to complete the new processes is available within the 'what's new' section after you log into online services.

Improved process for ordering and paying for copy deeds

A new process will improve the customer experience for people ordering copy deeds.

Customers with a business account can now order extracts and Land Register copy deeds through ScotLIS for business.

Customers without a business account can pay online using a link once the order is placed. Customer will no longer have to call us to make a payment.

Content improvements have been made to the copy deeds pages on our website so its easier to make orders.

We will monitor the effectiveness of the changes and make improvements based on your feedback.

Our performance published – Annual Report and Accounts

Our main priority in 2024-25 has been to continue to clear our open casework. Our total number of open cases has reduced by 17% in this period. While we know we still have more work to do, we are encouraged that our Customer Satisfaction Index results were both above the UK and public sector averages this year – at 83.4 for professionals and 80.5 for citizens.

Read our Annual Report and Accounts to find out more.

Responding to your feedback – Improving the website

We listened to your Customer Satisfaction Index feedback, which highlighted the website as an area we could significantly improve for our customers.

Since the changes, we’ve seen a noticeable drop in overall feedback, particularly negative feedback. This tells us that customers are finding our content clearer, more intuitive, and better suited to their needs.
