Annual Report and Accounts
We have now published our 2021-22 Annual Report and Accounts, giving an outline of our key business activities and performance over the past financial year.
We have continued to work hard to respond to the challenges of the past two years. A key focus of 2021-22 has been leading the organisation in moving forward from the impact of COVID-19.
You can read the full 2021-22 Annual Report and Accounts on our website.
Register Land and Property update
Register Land and Property (RLP) will soon support paper and digital discharges of standard securities.
Digital Discharge Service (DDS) will route new requests to RLP. RLP will ask the same questions and send the same discharge request to the lender as DDS does today.
Managing discharges in RLP alongside related deeds saves you time and lets you track all deeds from a given transaction in one place.

Register of Deeds – digital submission
From 1 October you will be able to digitally submit deeds for the Register of Deeds.
There will be an online form for the new service through which you will be able to upload electronic documents signed with a Qualified Electronic Signature only.
Further information can also be found in our recent news item and on our knowledge base.
Our customer satisfaction survey
As an organisation that prides itself on our customer service, we welcome your feedback, comments and concerns regarding your contact with us. Customer satisfaction is a priority at RoS and your feedback is crucial for us to better your experience.
Our customer satisfaction survey 2022 will go live on the 3 October, running for 4 weeks until 28 October.
It takes around ten minutes to complete, you can remain completely anonymous if you wish. However, there is an option to add your details if you require a specific response.
Please read my recent blog to sign up/access the link.
Climate Week
We are supporting Scotland’s Climate Week, an annual event from Net Zero Scotland to raise awareness of the global climate emergency and encourage climate action across the country.
In our latest blog Sustainability and Climate Change Manager, Emma Thomas, shares some examples of how we’re taking action to help Scotland reach net zero emissions by 2045.
RCI
The Register of Persons Holding a Controlled Interest in Land (RCI) will increase public transparency over decision making concerning land. It will ensure there can no longer be categories of owner or tenant where, intentionally, or otherwise, control of decision making is obscured. There is a 1-year grace period to 1 April 2023 before offence provisions for non-compliance in RCI come into force.
Find out more about whether you need to register and how to go about it on our RCI pages. We have now published an online support tool to assist users to self-determine if they need to submit to RCI.
You can also join us at our upcoming webinars.
