How to order Land Register Deeds

The Land Register of Scotland is our main register. It registers ownership of land and property in Scotland.

It’s possible to find land and property information for registered titles by searching the Land Register of Scotland through our ScotLIS Service.

If the property is registered, you can purchase the Title Sheet and Title plan, which provides property details and property owners.

If the property is not registered, it will likely be in the Register of Sasines.

Deeds are used to create title sheets.

To order a Land Register deed, you'll be asked for details such as:

  • title number
  • registration date
  • deed type
  • parties

If this information is not available, you may wish to consider a Property Search or Land Title Investigation.

Order Individual deeds from the Land Register or Land Register Archive.

You’ll receive an email confirming that we’ve received your order.

You’ll receive your order by email within 2 to 5 days, along with an invoice.

If you require an additional copy deed, there will be an additional fee.
